Greetings
to all:
Many of you will recognize the inserted picture. It was taken from the seaside
deck of Maiden Plum Kai on Grand Cayman Island before the September 2004
Hurricane Ivan totally destroyed our lovely beach home. During the last 3+
years my brother and I have been endeavoring to rebuild. Unfortunately after
having finished design plans and architectural studies and within weeks of
going forward, we had a family tragedy that has required us to change our
plans. My daughter developed a rare spinal disorder that had left her
paralyzed form the chest down. Though the prognosis is improving, we still
feel it necessary to create a fund for her benefit. Hence
we have decided to sell our property Maiden Plum Kai that has been in our
family for almost 40 years. I am sending this email to
people who have stayed at Maiden Plum in the past or who have sent us an
inquiry regarding a rental interest.
In order to determine the value of this property we had an appraisal of
the property done by Deloitte & Touche in December of 2005. It
takes a minute or so for this file to download.
We feel that since property values on Grand Cayman have remained stable
the last couple of years, that the Deloitte appraisal represents a fair
valuation. Please note that at the time the property was appraised,
the property was split up into to two parcels. Since then to two parcels
have been placed in our Caymanian corporation, Maiden Plum
Limited.

In anticipation of rebuilding our beach house we have developed plans
through a local architect from Georgetown for a lovely four
bedroom/three bath single story beach house on the original site. We
would be prepared to make these plans available to any interested party.
We have continued to have the property maintained and recently cleared the
site down to the foundation of the original structure.
If
you have any interest in this property, we can be reached via

Yours truly, Bruce and Wally Pereyra
